We will work with you to design the backyard of your dreams. Then our team of pond builder experts will build your custom pond. Once your water feature project is complete, we’ll show you how easy it will be to keep your ecosystem pond clear and pond fish happy.

A koi pond isn’t just a backyard addition; it’s an experience that brings peace, joy, and a dash of color to everyday life.

More Than a Pond—It's Your Daily Escape

Picture this: the gentle sound of flowing water, vibrant koi gliding beneath the surface, and a space that’s uniquely yours. While your neighbors battle Dallas traffic, you’ll have a private oasis just steps from your back door.

Here's how we make koi ponds effortless:

Dream It Together – We'll listen to your vision and design a pond that perfectly complements your outdoor space and lifestyle.
Expert Craftsmanship – Our experienced pond builders handle every detail, transforming your backyard with precision and care.
Ongoing Peace of Mind – We'll teach you our simple maintenance system that keeps your water crystal-clear and your koi thriving—without the hassle.

Recreation Ponds and Natural Pools

Do you have a large yard or want to make your water feature the focal point of your backyard? Recreation ponds are growing in popularity in Dallas and the greater suburban area. Let’s talk about recreation ponds and natural pools! These eco-friendly alternatives to traditional swimming pools not only look beautiful but they also offer benefits for you and the environment. Recreation ponds fit right into your backyard landscape, instead of a stark blue rectangle, you get a stunning oasis with lush greenery and wildlife.

Don’t put off your backyard renovation any longer and transform that plain and drab backyard into a private escape or a place for entertaining family and friends.

A recreational pond is MORE than a water feature.

Ready to create your backyard retreat? Let’s design the tranquil backyard escape you deserve—right here in Dallas.

Pondless^® Waterfalls and Stream

Not ready for a koi pond? A pondless waterfall might be the perfect water feature for your outdoor space.

Unlike traditional ponds, pondless waterfalls work beautifully in challenging spaces—narrow side yards, sloped terrain, or backyards with natural elevation changes. Our trained water feature contractors can design a custom waterfall and stream that flows seamlessly with your landscape.

Control Your Backyard Ambiance

Want to drown out traffic noise from nearby roads? Looking to mask sounds from neighboring properties? Or perhaps you simply want to enhance your outdoor oasis with the soothing sound of flowing water.

With a pondless waterfall, you’re in control. We can adjust both the water flow and sound level to create exactly the atmosphere you’re after—from a gentle babble to a more dramatic cascade.

Decorative and Outdoor Fountain Installation

Decorative fountains are great for any yard. They are low maintenance and you’ll only need to do a minimal amount of upkeep, allowing you to bask in the tranquility without any hassle. Whether you have a sprawling estate or a cozy backyard in Dallas, our fountains can seamlessly integrate into any space, elevating even the smallest patios into a charming retreat. Make a statement with a decorative fountain by your entryway or add a splash or sound in your garden with a mini-pond. Elevate your outdoor experience with a decorative fountain that not only looks fabulous, but also requires minimal maintenance, leaving you free to enjoy your outdoor space.

Lonestar will take your water feature to the next level.

There are many ways to improve or upgrade an existing water feature without having to completely renovate your backyard. Simple upgrades can add new life to your water feature. Talk with us about adding pond lights, pond plants and flowers. Are you looking for ways to keep your pond friends safe? We can add ways to protect your koi from predators.

Pond Lighting

Transform your outdoor space with enchanting pond lighting. Whether you’re looking to create a serene atmosphere for evening relaxation or highlight the natural beauty of your water feature, strategically placed lights can elevate your pond into a mesmerizing focal point. With a variety of styles and colors, pond lighting not only enhances visibility and safety but also brings your aquatic surroundings to life during the night, allowing you to enjoy the soothing sounds of flowing water under a starry sky. Illuminate your haven and experience the magic of your pond after dusk!

Pond Plants

Pond plants are the perfect way to enhance the beauty and ecology of your water feature. With a diverse array of options, including floating lilies, vibrant water hyacinths, and elegant reeds, these plants not only add visual interest but also provide essential habitat for aquatic wildlife. They help improve water quality by filtering pollutants, absorb excess nutrients, and offer shade, which keeps the water cool. Whether you seek to create a tranquil oasis or a lively ecosystem, incorporating pond plants is key to a thriving aquatic environment. Embrace the natural charm they bring to your outdoor space!

Pond Spitters

Pond spitters are charming and whimsical additions that can bring a playful touch to your water garden. These decorative features, often designed in the shape of animals or mythical creatures, gently release streams of water back into your pond, creating a soothing sound that enhances the peaceful ambiance. Not only do spitters serve as eye-catching focal points, but they also help aerate the water, promoting a healthier ecosystem for fish and plants. Perfect for adding character and enhancing the overall aesthetics of your outdoor space, pond spitters are a delightful way to celebrate the beauty of nature.

Predator Decoy

Predator decoys are an effective and clever solution for protecting your backyard pond from potential threats, such as herons and other fish-eating birds. These lifelike replicas, often resembling predators like owls or hawks, deter unwelcome visitors by giving the impression that danger is nearby. Strategically placing a predator decoy around your pond not only helps safeguard your fish and aquatic life. These decoys are a smart, eco-friendly way to preserve the tranquility and health of your pond. Enjoy your peaceful oasis while ensuring your aquatic friends remain safe!

Fish Caves

Fish caves are essential additions to backyard ponds, providing secure hiding spots for fish and promoting a healthy aquatic environment. These underwater shelters mimic natural habitats, allowing fish to seek refuge from predators, rest, and find breeding areas. By incorporating fish caves into your pond design, you not only enhance the safety and comfort of your aquatic inhabitants but also contribute to a balanced ecosystem. Available in various materials and sizes, fish caves blend seamlessly into your pond’s landscape, ensuring your fish thrive while enriching the overall beauty of your outdoor space.

Faux Logs

Faux logs are a fantastic addition to backyard ponds, adding both charm and functionality to your aquatic landscape. These realistic-looking artificial logs replicate the natural wood found in wildlife habitats, providing essential hiding spots for fish and other aquatic creatures. Not only do faux logs enhance the aesthetic appeal of your pond, creating a rustic and natural feel, but they also promote a balanced ecosystem by offering shelter and encouraging beneficial microhabitats. Lightweight and durable, these logs are easy to arrange and maintain, ensuring your pond remains a serene and vibrant retreat for both you and its inhabitants.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had neglected a fountain and pond for years and they were in dire shape: full of debris, sludge and leaves that had rotted - mosquito heaven and gross! Christian and Daniel came out early in the morning and worked diligently most of the day, not only cleaning out the two, but also diagnosing their issues and giving recommendations at various price points for how to restore them to working order and improve on their design. They were a delight to work with - professional and knowledgeable - and we look forward to using their maintenance services going forward to avoid getting in this shape again.
